The 2026 Haeundae Sand Festival runs from Friday, May 15 to Monday, May 18 at Haeundae Beach. This year's theme, "Time Travel to Busan through Sand," showcases large-scale sand sculptures depicting Busan's past, present, and future across the beach.
The festival operates daily from 10:00 to 22:00. The sand sculpture exhibition itself continues through Sunday, June 14, so you can still view the works after the festival period. Admission is free, though some hands-on programs carry a fee.
Haeundae Beach is a 5-minute walk from Haeundae Station (Line 2). Weekends draw large crowds, so allow extra travel time. Comfortable shoes for walking on sand are recommended.
